Jason Powell – PT, DPT

Physical Therapist Clinical Director/Clinical Staff Supervisor

Jason graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Samuel Merritt University. He also received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Puget Sound. While at Puget Sound, Jason minored in Mathematics and Chemistry while playing baseball and graduated as a Coolidge Otis Chapman Honors Program Scholar. As an undergraduate and graduate student, Jason completed a senior thesis on combination strength training techniques in the male athlete, assisted in research for anti-gravity treadmill training in patients with neurological disorders, and studied neuro-dynamic abnormalities in patients with orthopedic dysfunction. Jason is a Redwood City native attending St. Pius elementary and later high school at Sacred Heart Preparatory in Atherton, CA. Jason also is a high school varsity assistant baseball coach at Menlo School in Atherton, CA. While not at work, Jason and his wife enjoy raising their daughter, playing recreational team sports, and watching TV and movies.

Dwayne Moore

Clinical Operations Manager

Dwayne has over 30 years of Healthcare Administration and Management experience. He a native Californian, born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He attended the University of California Santa Barbara and San Francisco State University. He has coached youth soccer for over 17 years at various skill levels ranging from recreation leagues, club teams and high school teams. He is an avid Oakland A’s fan and a soccer (real football) fan. In his spare time he loves cooking, hiking, coaching and a good sci-fi book.

Allison Morrison – PT, DPT, ATC

Physical Therapist

Allison has undergraduate degrees in both Athletic Training and Kinesiology from Miami University and gained her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Alli began her career as a travel therapist, providing care at clinics across the country and became a permanent member of the STAR team in January 2019. Allison continues her love of traveling and exploring the outdoors in combination with participating in volleyball, hiking, paddle boarding and snow sports.

Remy Arnold, PT, DPT, CSCS

Physical Therapist

Remy graduated from Saint Louis University (SLU) with both his B.S. in Exercise Science and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. While at SLU Remy minored in Spanish and Interprofessional Practice and spent 5 months living in Spain learning Spanish and teaching English. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a Graston Technique provider. Remy played competitive soccer for much of his life with the local cub, Juventus, then played rugby in college. He is a Redwood City native, going to middle school at Nativity School in Menlo Park and high school at Bellarmine College Prep in San Jose. In his free time Remy is a fitness enthusiast, loves everything outdoors from backpacking to skiing to scuba diving, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Taylor Vida, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Taylor received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Cleveland State University in Ohio where she grew up. Out the gates, she began working on the East Coast as a travel therapist in home and post-hospital settings. Taylor recently moved to the Bay area to pursue her passion in orthopedics and became a part of the STAR team in August 2020. Along with travelling, Taylor enjoys getting out in nature, music and art, taking care of her new puppy, and exploring new foods and cooking techniques.

Howard Lieberman – MA

Business Operations Manager

Howard has over 30 years of clinical experience in spine and extremity musculoskeletal rehabilitation. He is a graduate of UCLA and San Jose State University and possesses a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology. Howard was one of the founders of STAR Physical Therapy in 1994. He specializes in the design of physical training programs specifically related to orthopedic rehabilitation and preparation for rigorous outdoor activities. He is certified as a “Rock Doc” for kinesiotaping and RockBlades instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). For forty years, Howard has been an avid skier, backpacker, mountain biker/cyclist and trail runner. He is also a licensed private pilot. Howard continues to spend as much time as possible with his wife and two college aged daughters enjoying the high mountains and all types of outdoor adventures.

Michelle Crane-Robba – PTA

Physical Therapy Assistant

Michelle graduated from and received her license from Sonoma College in 2007. Additionally, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Motion Picture from Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. She was born and raised in San Jose, California but has lived abroad, teaching English in Japan. She is certified as both a Myofascial Decompression and Graston Technique clinician. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, mountain biking and cooking.

Stephanie Thorpe

Front Office Manager

Stephanie is the Office Manager and Insurance Administrator for STAR Physical Therapy. She has over 18 years of medical office experience and is an expert in physical therapy benefits for private, worker’s compensation, and Medicare insurance plans. She will be happy to assist you with any scheduling or insurance questions you may have. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her two grandchildren, family, friends and RVing with her husband.
