I had a consistently excellent experience with all the staff at STAR throughout four months of physical therapy following rotator cuff surgery. My primary PT was first-rate– knowledgeable, friendly, attentive to my individual needs, inventive with the exercises, and always encouraging my progress. The administrative staff was great — on top of the scheduling, billing, and insurance issues and always welcoming and personable. It’s a great team — I highly recommend them.
Sports Therapy and Rehab (STAR) is superior to any physical therapist I ever went to. I have seen all of their therapist for almost every part of my body–from feet to neck. I keep doing the exercises and every part they have worked on doesn’t need any additional visits unless I have a second surgery or break a bone. The therapists only work on one person at a time, so you get hands-on therapy during your session. My orthopedic surgeon is also very pleased with the results.
To Whom It May Concern:
I saw Dr. Millard in April due to a strained back and it was recommended I have physical therapy for my spasms. I have this month concluded a series of sessions at S.T.A.R. Physical Therapy.
I would highly recommend the facility, Howard Lieberman and staff. They are well equipped, had a complete program for me, and are efficient and thorough in their treatment in a friendly and concerned atmosphere. I am continuing to improve with their suggested exercise program at home.
I highly recommend this facility for strength training and rehabilitation.
Dear Mr. Cody:
This letter is in regards to my completed term of physical therapy with your establishment. I have had the pleasure of spending approximately seven months of recovery time with S.T.A.R. Physical Therapy.
The sincere words I have to write about your entire staff cannot portray the level of gratitude I feel inside. From the initial injury of my left shoulder, your staff’s knowledge on strengthening my shoulder to prepare it for surgery, without adding to the injury, was paramount to my post surgery recovery. After my surgery, the care and precision I received from your staff enabled me to progress through my recovery without any difficulties. If it were not for the vast experience from your entire staff, I would not be writing you this letter from my work. The surgery I had went well, but it was without a shadow of a doubt the excellent therapy received that made the difference. Even my doctor was overwhelmed with the unprecedented progress he saw with my recovery. There was so much work done on my shoulder that my doctor truly felt I may not ever return to full duty status again. With this in the back of my mind through the entire time I spent with S.T.A.R. my faith in your staff’s knowledge was my only hope of ever getting back on the line.
Feeling and seeing the progress I was making, relieved my fear and gave me hope that I would really recover. Five short months post operative, and I was released to full duty. My doctor can only say that I was a lucky person, and that I healed better than expected, but I know for sure that it was the therapy I received from S.T.A.R.. With the business that I am in, my life has never been at the mercy of anyone before. Now I know what it feels like to be on the receiving end. The knowledge of your staff held my life in their hands, and all I can say is thank you.
Captain Kim S.
Just a quick follow-up since I did not get in for my ‘final’ visit. You and your entire staff at S.T.A.R. are a team that should be commended. I know you said I did all the work, but, with thanks to you, Stephanie, Leslie, et al. I am back to normal (what’s normal) and able to go about my business. You and your team are unsung heroes.
The difference this time is that I have the knowledge and the tools to keep in shape and pain free. You especially, educated me and I’ll keep my program (my little blue book) for years to come.
I have to say that it was money well spent and that whatever insurance does not pay. I will happily pay the difference. It is an investment in my health and longevity.
Last and not least, where else could I go and get the musical education and variety (Neil Young and Dean Martin) that I got and get to wear Aloha shirts. Thanks again and all the best to you and your team. There will always be a high recommendation for S.T.A.R. from my perspective.
I just want to drop a note regarding my treatment and status. Dr. Eakin cleared me to return to work in the beginning of July. He also said I was done with therapy and could continue the exercise and workouts on my own.
If you could please thank the S.T.A.R. staff for me I would appreciate it. The experience at S.T.A.R. made this whole operation and recovery much easier than I anticipated. You are all extremely professional as well as enjoyable to be around. As much as I will miss coming to physical therapy, I am glad to be back at work, which will probably require mental therapy instead. I wish you all well.
I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for your help and patience over the past many months in nursing me back following surgery on my left shoulder and helping me to avoid it on my right shoulder. Last Friday, Dr. Nelligan reviewed your report, checked my range of motion and released me subject to my agreeing to do a few exercises.
Somehow mornings won’t be quite the same without my stop at S.T.A.R., but I’m not complaining. Please pass along my thanks and regards to Howard, Scott, Leslie, Ray, Lorraine, Brian, Lori, et. al. and especially to Stephanie who helped me keep all my appointments straight.
Thanks again, Rick, for everything.
Dear Stephanie, Leslie, Brian, Rick, Charlie, and Howard,
Thank you all so much for the care and attention you have given our family. If it weren’t for your expertise, caring attitudes, and all round fun acceptance of our quirkiness most of our family would be gimping around with no further hope of Olympic dreams.
You all have been great; we will readily recommend S.T.A.R. Physical Therapy.
Dave, Barb, Mike, Jim, B.
I wanted to take a moment to thank you and your entire team for the fabulous care that you provided me after my shoulder surgery. Prior to starting my physical therapy at S.T.A.R., I spoke with a number of doctors and patients about which outfit would provide me with the best shoulder rehab possible. A number of people suggested S.T.A.R. and I can’t tell you how pleased I am that they did.
Your team combined its vast experience and professionalism with the ‘human touch’ that is so important to me. Clearly, no one ever lost sight of the fact that the main reason I was there was to get my shoulder to work again. However, the path to my recovery was always filled with interesting stories, good humor and an ‘esprit de corps’ that seemed quite unique.
I very much appreciate your personal involvement in my recovery. Your techniques were very complimentary and I am pleased that I had the chance to work with both of you. I was also impressed with how well informed Howard and Leslie were with my status. No matter who I worked with, I never felt ‘out of place’.
Someday I will need to have my left shoulder repaired. When I do, I will make sure I return to S.T.A.R. for my rehabilitation.
Dear Staff at S.T.A.R.,
Just a note to say thank you from Tom and me for all your help in our shoulder rehab process. Your patience, support, and competence made a very tedious process almost enjoyable. Have a latte or a chai on us, and I hope to be back to wind up my therapy in a couple more weeks when my other arm issue is resolved. You are all Stars!
It has been almost 5 months now since my shoulder operation and over 4 months since I started therapy. I am performing 95% of my daily routines. Also, as you know I’m playing racquetball again which makes me very happy. My game isn’t where I want it to be since my timing is off and my muscles are not used to the rigors of play, but the good news is that my shoulder feels fine and I believe I am getting more flexibility as time goes on.
I thank you, Leslie, and everyone affiliated at S.T.A.R. Therapy for your expertise and professionalism in working with me. I attribute my progress to your fine work. The atmosphere you established is very enjoyable even though the music you play is questionable…. I was able to overlook that since you laughed at my jokes (probably out of kindness or sympathy). Now that my therapy sessions are over, I will almost miss them.
I wish you all a wonderful summer and perhaps I will see you all again under different and better circumstances.
